Friday the 9th of October was an exciting day for Safe Waters Community Care Inc. as we signed the lease for our first property to be used as a safe shelter in Ulladulla. Ulladulla has never had a shelter for our people who experience homelessness so this is something the community has been looking forward to for a very long time.

Partnering with MUM real estate and a local church who has very kindly offered to donate our rent for 12 months, Safe Waters now has the opportunity to work with over 40 volunteers who are offering their time on rotating shifts to get this happening. All volunteers receive training and with more volunteers, the less shifts each person is required to do. We are always going to be looking for more volunteers.

Safe Waters are extremely grateful to MUM Real Estate and our local church for their help in making this happen. This is truly what community is all about in helping our most vulnerable people.
